ITINERARY:

Day 1: Singapore to Darwin 
Depart Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Darwin. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Good starting points include Indo Pacific Marine, an attraction that showcases marine life, Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory or Crocosaurus Cove, the newest tourist attraction located right in the heart of Darwin’s central business district. Alternatively, take a walk on the wild side at Territory Wildlife Park. Located in the outskirts of Darwin, the park offers visitors an upclose encounter with fishes and marine life in an extensive aquarium with a walkthrough tunnel.

Day 2: Darwin to Kakadu
(Drive Time: 3 hrs)

This morning, collect your car from the city centre and depart Darwin on the Explorer’s Way and turn left onto Arnhem Highway. Continue onwards to Jabiru, home of the world heritage Kakadu National Park. Birdwatchers and nature lovers alike should stop along the way to visit sights such as Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve and Window on the Wetlands. You can also take a Jumping Crocodile Cruise on Adelaide Rive to get upclose and personal with these prehistoric predators. Spend the afternoon basking in the nature beauty of Kakadu National Park, where Aboriginal rock art sites, walks to escarpment lookouts, thundering waterfalls and impressive visitor centres await you. One of the best ways to experience Kakadu is from above, so consider a scenic flight.

Day 3: Kakadu to Pine Creek to Katherine
(Drive Time: 3 hrs)

In the morning, visit Nouriangie Rock and Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre before taking a leisure cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, the best place to experience Kakadu’s prolific wildlife. Continue southwards to Katherine via Pine Creek, the site where gold was discovered in 1871. Marvel at the original buildings that were first built in the gold rush era. Pine Creek’s attractions include a railway station that was built in 1888 and Miners Park, which houses original mining machineries from the past.

Day 4: Katherine to Litchfield National Park to Darwin
(Drive Time: 3 hrs)

Explore the spectacular Katherine Gorge by boat, canoe, helicopter or on foot. Take a detour to explore Litchfield National Park on the bushwalking tracks, admire the birds and the wildlife species, and swim in the crystal clear waterholes under thundering waterfalls that flow year-round. A must-see highlight is the amazing magnetic termite mounds. At the end of the day, drive back on the highway to Darwin.

Day 5: Darwin to Singapore

If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping before you return your car at the airport and catch your flight home.
