This morning, collect your car from the city centre. Pass Geelong, a city with superb architecture and an interesting historic precinct. Continue driving towards Torquay where the scenic drive on the world-renowned Great Ocean Road starts. En route, enjoy sweeping vistas of the stunning waterfront and make pit stops at the many trendy beaches along Lorne and Apollo Bay. Visit Erskine Falls before arriving in Apollo Bay for your overnight stay.

Apollo Bay – Peterborough –

Head beyond Apollo Bay to Cape Otway Lightstation, the oldest surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. Then, continue your journey to experience the sensational Otway Fly Treetop Walk, a unique rainforest hike through a beautiful temperate rainforest, where you will be greeted by the tranquility and beauty of the forest canopy. Later, be enthralled by some of the most beautiful coastlines in the world as you drive along Shipwreck Coast to view the striking and dramatic rock formations along Peterborough. View some of these formations including Loch Ard Gorge, The Arch, London Bridge and the most famous of them all, 12 Apostles.
Upon arrival in Warrnambool, watch the “Shipwrecked Sound and Laser Show” at Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. If you are travelling between May and September, be sure to view the whales from the whale watching platform at Logan’s Beach.

This morning, embark on a scenic drive to Grampians National Park and Halls Gap. Discover Australia’s unique native animals at Halls Gap Zoo. Embark on a walk to one of the most popular spots in the Grampians and Victoria’s largest waterfall MacKenzie Falls, for a fantastic photo opportunity. Take a relatively easy walk to The Balconies for an exceptional view. The Grampians is also known for its fine collection of aboriginal cave paintings and Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre, which gives visitors an insight into aboriginal culture, history and art.

Halls Gap – Penola

This morning, drive from Halls Gap via Mackenzie Falls to Horsham. Continue west along Wimmera Highway and past Mt Arapiles, a premier rock climbing site. Head towards Naracoorte and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Naracoorte Caves National Park, home to spectacular formations of limestone caves and interesting fossil deposits. Drive onwards to Penola and Coonawarra wine region, where you can sample world-class red wines such as cabernet sauvignon.

Penola – Adelaide

This morning, depart Penola for Greenways. Drive along the highway to the old fishing port of Kingston SE, famous for its fresh lobsters. Continue your journey to Coorong National Park, an ideal area for bird watching. Next, catch the ferry to Wellington. Upon arrival, drive to Adelaide via Adelaide Hills.
